Yup, still happening. This OS will never be any good.

Yes.
Although not in the middle of a project. Sometimes after reloading a project things are all screwy.

I think, at least in my case, that it may have something to do with fragmentation of the drive.

I was away from a computer for a few months so I was not able to use drive sort or defrag, and I steadily got more and more problems with mis-assigned samples and lost data. Then when I got home and was able to straighten up the drive periodically the problems went away again.

Cool, the reason I ask is because everytime I've had to the problem all I have to do is go to program mode , sample assign, then cycle through all the samples real quick on one of the pads then im good. It almost like the mpc just needs to be refreshed & this does the trick. Let me know if this helps ya'll.

Elmer - I've stopped making/loading large programs, mainly because loading & saving was taking to long. Although I'm not using any Efx on my songs, I haven't experienced the problem I described above after I started using programs that consisted only of samples that I'm using in the current song. I have absolutly no problems with my 500 os & am very happy with it.

I really hope what I suggested fixes your guys issues with the 500 because Im a proud owner with no probs what so ever.

Keep me updated

ill Green - I always save entire projects & never mess with saving programs/squences by themselves.

Error just happend so I can add a little more detail. What I suggested fixes issue when going to trim mode & 500 says "no samples in memory". Sorry for any confusion. I dont think I ever experience samples just disappearing from pads. Its usually a track mute or sample volume turned down or something else that I set up & forgot to turn off.

This happens to me ALL the time! I even mentioned it in the bug sticky.
Cool that you found a workaround. Thanks again.
