There was the "honk if you love your MPC1000 thread earlier...
I haven't seen any of the reported bugs, for two possible reasons:
1) The bugs we hear about seem to affect people who work with long loops, and I just don't work that way at all, I build up my own rhythms with individual sample hits.
2) I have a day job that means I don't get as medieval on the MPC1000 as others here do, I'm still "playing", I haven't finished any tracks since I got it. (And I spend too much time here!) But even if I used it more, I have a "show must go on" attitude, so I would work around it, change things if they would help, or live with it.
If there's a click, I will take a methodical approach, find its source and stomp on it. I have had clicks from faulty loops, where I did not choose the correct loop points - my fault. (It took a lot of work to find loop points for the samples for the PGMs on my site, and in a couple of cases I failed to do so. The guys at Hollow Sun use tools like Antares Infinity to find good loops and smooth them out, which is why their synth samples sound so professional IMHO.
I'm not going to let a few worries like this stop me from using the MPC1000 as much as I can, and I certainly won't be selling it any time soon.
