I'm thinking about going into the MPC4000 realm? Should I do it or should I not? I know the 4000 had bugs when 1st released but have all the bugs been removed since the Operating System [v1.71] or do numerous bugs still exist.

I really need sum feedback from other who have already made the switch that I'm thinking about doing and from those who use their 4000 on a daily basis.

Thanks....

I think I might just have to go ahead and do that.

I believe I read somewhere in the 4000 forum that the 4000 can load up the 2000XL files. If that is correct I then gotta unload this 2000XL. That is correct right?

not familiar with the 2000xl but I got rid off my 1000 in order to get the 4K, NO regrets at all. Even with the bugs the 4000 works absolutely fine for me and yeah I use it on a daily basis.

After having a 2500 for 3 years I moved to a 4000 yesterday.

So far I'm loving it.
The 24 bit converters in the 4000 are astoundingly good. Its just sonically better.
And 10X the resoloution in the sequencer is worth the upgrade alone.
I always felt that the 2500 was shifting my hits a bit even with Timing Correct off. (don't think the XL suffered as bad as the 2500)
I could never get it to groove how I was grooving but the 4000 feels like its giving back my performance to me verbatim. It feels awesome!

So much better.

Trying to wrap my head around Multis now. Bit by bit its starting to make sense. :)

I'm not gonna lie one of the main reasons for me thinking about the 4000 is the fact that it has 24bit capabilities....damn I can't wait till I get mine..... ???

Same here. I've worked on 4K for some time now and I must say 1000 sux hard. I can also say it was great choice to switch.
