problem with sample playing well after stopping mpc

yo, i installed jjosxl the other day, decided i didnt like it, so swapped back to the jj os free, and deleted the xl off my mpc2500. Now a bug that keeps happening is when i press stop, about 5 seconds after, one of my samples hits for a second.. sometimes does it when i press solo whilst playing.. i had the jjos's on the memory card, has my mpc caught a bug or is the card corrupted? pretty bad for when im recording into my daw.. anyone heard of this? cheers

Have you tried the well known trick - holding the stop button when turning your mpc on??

You mean ERASE no? (coz STOP is likely to launch a RAM test)

nah i havnt tried either one of those.. what does holding ERASE do when u power up? cheers for replies

You should do it everytime when you change OS - holding ERASE while turning your mpc on until you see the main screen causes the reset of the mpc. I made some OS reinstalls and when i forgot to do that, the mpc made wired things like freezing, midi drop outs etc...
