Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

i got the mpc 2000 classic.. and im stayin over my dads house for tonight.. so i wanted to ask a quick question.. i have this plug

and i dont have my turntable so im trying to sample off of youtube.. but no sounds come out.. i have the plug connected from the headphone plug in the computer to the stereo outs of the mpc

you got to plug the cable in the mpc stereo in! not the out!

it's not the same plug: the 2 outs (l r) are near the headphones out (1 jack stereo out)
correct me if i'm wrong

sorry my mistake (the video shows how to record in to the pc)
you have to plug the mini jack in the line out of the pc (or headphones out if U R using a laptop) and the 2 jacks (l r) in to the record in of the mpc2000

pressing shift + record (on the numeric keyboard) you must see the rec level bars
adjust the rec level gain with the red knob (top left)
...
and adjust also the sampling time in milliseconds (1000ms = 1 sec) in that menu

i know how to sample lol.. but i found it out.. i was tryna sample from the bose speakers but i had to plug it in the mac mini
