i qeston about the 4000

ok check it out i was in guitar center a while ago and and saw the 4000 and it was ok but i see on the site they have a computer or something hook up to it what is that for go to the site it looks pretty tight but what is it for is it like if i hook it up to the usb do it have it own software inside of it?

the slick flatscreen monitor is hooked to the PC, it shows you some editing screens from AkSys... that's the PC editing tool for various Akai machines...
