Hi everybody. I just bought a akai s900 sampler and i have a mpc 2500 I also have m-audio axiom pro keyboard with ableton live 7 where i use vsts like the arturia 10 year suite. All i do now is just play the notes from my vst and sample them on to my mpc then chop them up. I want to be able to do this thru midi. My question is how do u hook up the mpc to the s900 and to the axiom pro keyboard? I want to play my drums thru the s900 to grime them up. and i wanna record my piano notes on my mpc? thru midi. Ive looked all over the internet, and have found very little about hooking up midi to my mpc. any help would be greatly valued. Thanks Peace

midi and audio are totally different
you'd use the midi cables to sequence the 900 with the 2500
there will be no audio,
you could sample the 900 into the 2500 but thats more converters your going through,
just get a mixer or use the 2500 input through
i think your super confused

I realize that midi and audio are totally different. Ive watched videos where people hook up their mpcs to keyboards with midi and are able to record what their playing on the keyboard to the sequencer on the mpc. For starters can u help me with this? what settings do i put the mpc to in the midi/sync page? also my keyboard is a axiom pro 61. I can get my mpc to reognize me playing notes on my keyboard but no sound is produced. please help.
