Noise on left analog input

Couple months ago i found out that left analog input in my mpc 5000 creates a background noise - 20 db during analog recording.
It's not a cable connection problem.
Any ideas how can i fixed that ?

Thats not normal, go to an authorized repair center.

Well .... it's a best solution but not for me. I am living in Kazakhstan
We have no authorized akai center.
I am looking to my mpc with screwdriver in my hands

maybe it's a ground problem?

do you have to use a voltage converter to use it?

I don't know it's just a guess.

Might be worth checking the solder joints too... it's possible that there is a loose connection on the left channel that is causing some oddity.

Also... do you have input thru or something similar set? It might be coming from someplace else. If you are able it might be worth trying the SPDIF out and see if you still hear the noise. Headphones instead maybe?

No it's not. I got grounding connection with turntables

That's could be a reason. But how can I check it? I mean I still have to use screwdriver right ?

SPDIF and headphones out is excellent.

do you have an input going into it right now? as mentioned above the device or devices behind that could be the reason.

No nothing is connected to mpc and I still have that noise on left input

Just try reinstall OS from CF card.
I have same problem onse time, and os reinstall was help for me.

Hello all,

I had the same problem with my MPC 5000 OS2, noise around -20 db on the right input (line, chinch and xlr-jack). Resetting the machine and reinstalling the OS did not help.

The solution was to remove the EXM 128 ram expansion and to install it again.
