I am in Houston with family right now and I met some guy that is a bedroom DJ. Anyway, I saw his set up and he using a bar-bque cover 4his gear. He said he got at Home Depot for about $30.00 He cut off the back of the cover to allow for cables . As soon as i can find one. Some stores were already sold out for the year.

Sheets???

The bar-b-que grill cover this guy has is great. It is a heavy duty fabric and it will fit perfectly over my 4000 and DPS. It hangs down about 3 1/2' so that would cover my other gear underneath. I just wonder if i can get someone to stitch the Akai MPC 4000 and DPS logo on it.

I think bed sheets are not the way to go as they collect dust like I collect vinyl :)

yeah...i figured this out.

take your orignial mpc box, flap the box wings up, tape them to the bottom of the box, then just put the box over the top! if you need more hieght and cable room you can just tape the wings straight up, the cut out holes for the cables...and if you only do one side, you can still use the box.
