So, after a long long day I finally got to sit down with my MPC at about 10pm last night and started listening to a rekid through the sample new sound screen.
I listened to the intros of about 4 tracks, then I sampled the the intro of the 4th track.
I then went to copy the sound to commence chopping
Whenever I copy sounds on the 3G I press the pad I wanna copy, partly to confirm it's the right sound, partly because I like the way it sounds like a ZX Spectrum loading when you copy a sound that's playing.
Normally, after the sound has been copied, the MPC continues playing the remaining part of the sample that was triggered prior to initiating copy.
Imagine my surprise when the MPC duley played through the intros of the 3 songs I'd listened to but NOT sampled!
I went through the memory to see if I'd somehow sampled them without realising it but there was just the sample I'd taken and a copy which was exactly the same as you would expect.
So, yeah, my MPC is a bit mental! just wanted to share that with you all!
