I
I'm reading the mpc 60 OS version 2 manual (I have the 3.1)..and I have notice that in the edit sound menu is possible (with the v.2 OS) to create a "kind of layer"..for example it say:

• The DOUBLE PLAY section:
This feature allows you to assign one drum to automatically play a second
drum whenever the first one plays. Also, they allow a "velocity switch"
feature - depending on the note velocity, one of two different sounds may
play. Each of the three fields is described below:

is this function lost in new 3.1 OS?..I have found any similar function in new os..is it?possible?
thanks

It is still there. I was trying out the 8 outputs on the back and one of the settings within the Drum Mix is exactly what you are talking about. You can assign a specific pad to set off other ones. Its in the OS 3.1 Manual, look for it in the section for assigning sounds to the 8 outputs under Drum Mix.

Yeah, you are right it is not on the manual. Do you have OS 3.1?

When I get back home let me try it out, I am sure it is there as one of the functions. I will let you know where/how to set it up.

boxcutter butta beat me to it. Here are the steps if you need them.

Click sounds--->1 Sel pgm, asn snds --->Scroll with arrows to Mode: and select "SIMULT"--->scroll down to "Also play note:" (use the Data/Control knob to select the second sound that needs to play)
