copy & paste all tracks together is gone?

So, I want to repeat the first half bar of a 4 bar loop. Ive deleted the last three bars and erased the last half part of the remaining bar. Now I want to copy & paste that first half to the second part. Without having to copy & paste all tracks seperate.. Ive done this in OS 1.51, I cant imagin they left this option behind in OS 1.6. Or did they?

You can put all your tracks together in song mode, and then convert it into one big ass seq when you are done.

go to the LOOPsection in the MAIN page.
highlight the BARS number.
Use the WINDOW key.
There you can cut/ copy /insert/ bars within or to a new sequence.

It is a very groovy function and I know this function exsitst but what ikke and I are saying is that it would be even more groovy if you could copy say the first quarter or half or last half or quarter and copy it to get new exciting variations that would be an even more groovy tool. you can do this but only on individual tracks, which is quite time consuming... this is in the step edit function... what we would like to see is to be able to copy certain phrases of the whole sequences in step edit and copy them....

As I said, copying fractions of bars (as opposed to entire bars) on all tracks has never never been possible on the MPC4000.
It's either entire bars on all tracks (in the Bars Window from MAIN) or any region on a single track (in STEP/SEQ EDIT).

However, this request has been added to the list for future improvements.

Are you Sean from Akai DPS website? If so that is great!!! Akai Japan`s marketing are asking for the previous 1.51 copy and paste functions to be restored in 1.60 thanks ikkie I think they got your mail. However we are talking about a Dec/Jan window.
