How do I add "Swing" to my Drums with the MPC?

I would like to know the details about adding the "Swing" effect on my MPC. I really want to use the effect for my drums to give them character and to accent the sound of the Hi-Hats. Thank You for your time.

Hit open window while you have the quantize highlighted (must be 1/16 or smaller). Play with the amount and % setting and record your sequence. If it doesn't sound how you want experiment some more.

that's not the answer to the question,not everyone has one and readin downloaded manuals is a pain in the asz

highlight "timing 1/16"-->press open window--->swing up to 75%

So the page doesn't tell you how to use the swing?
Those pages don't say exactly what you yourself just stated?
Reading manuals is a pain in the azz, that's your problem and not mine.
Not everyone has one, free download on the internet and has been linked here
on the boards many times previously.

It's a machine that you have, most paid big money out the pocketz, most "SAY" they love their machine
to the fullest, so, one should know the features that it contains, hence, the reason machines come with manuals.

Your argument....

its not a pain in the ass to read a page.. lamp is right, u should read the manual anyways

That whole "i don't read manuals" mentality is funny.I downloaded the manual for the 2kxl and printed it off myself.Did it take awhile?YES.Did i need it?YES.Was it worth it?YES.

I guess since people can go online they want to have someone else do everything for them.I prefer to flip a few a pages or experiment and figure it out myself but....it is what it is i guess.

I strongly feel that all questions ask on this open forum website should be answered directly from a person that has knowledge about the subject. I simply asked a simple question and Fung45 replied. Is this not why forums are created to share Knowledge about our subject with each other freely? The Mpc-Forum was created with a purpose of service to those who search for potential Knowledge and How to use this Knowledge as a tool in ones services. As long as your on this forum "Keep it Real, and Real will Recognise You and Reward You"!

Fung told you exactly what the manual will have you do but in his own words, and that's cool too.

The manuals pages are knowledge as well, you just don't wanna recognize that, it's ok, you don't have to.
I shouldn't HAVE to regurgitate what's already in the manual when commenting on basic stuff.

Cool though, the forums are made for knowledge, what is your brain made for? .
