When i bought my MPC 1000, the seller said it had JJos1 installed. When i booted it up it said it had "new os" installed. I thought i had been ripped of so I downloaded JJOS1 of the site, and installed it (it didnt ask me for a password to save, and i didnt then but i know now that jjos1 had already been installed previously [because it didnt ask me for a password]). Then from booting up it said "JJOS1 installed".

My only conclusion is that this "new os" is an upgrade from JJOS1 (i think this caus it is pretty much exactally the same as jjos1, ive only spotted one difference). is it?
Thanks

I think "New os" was the previous name of JJOS1.
You did an update with the latest OS1 right?

no, i havnt updated anything yet... I tried looking for a jjos1 update just then. But couldnt find it, which i thought was strange. Do you know the site to get it from?

Ive noticed that in the New os, every sequence has its own level control... Which is kinda cool. otherwise i cant find any differences between the two.

Then in september 2007 the name "new os" became "JJ os" (which is still 4.XX series or OS1 since OS2 has been released)
