Recieving MSB and LSB data

Can the mpc2500 recieve MSB and LSB data? i know that it can send/transmit this data for bank changes on synths, but i would like for my motif xs to send the data to the mp. the motif can definitely send the data but i cant figure out if the mp will recieve it... thanks in advance

What does the manual say?

in the manual, page 121 there is a chart showing that "control changes" can be recognized and transmitted... but i cant figure this out... at the top of the page it says "sequencer section" in parantheses ... any help on the matter would be grateful... thanks much

As you go along make sure you have a good understanding of what is going on before you proceed and don't be afraid to experiment as you go along, using the MPC to operate multiple products can be tricky. As for what you are trying to do I never tried it that way, because the MPC was my mine sequencer. is there any particular reason that you want the motif to control the MPC, instead vice versa.

thanks to all.... i do have the mp and motif connect via midi and audio... my mp is the center piece for everything and i run sequencing with the mp. the only reason i would like for the mp to recieve this cc data (control change) from the motif xs is because it is easier to search (using the category button) the voices/ banks on the motif for what im looking for and then have this info sent to the mp. this way the mp will automatically read which voice/bank i have chosen on the motif instead of me scrolling thru the banks via the mpc. thanks and respect.
