sorry i got another question ...
when i want to save something with save entire ... the mpc always says " card full !! "
so i guess i need a new bigger cf card or?
can i buy

i want to get the beats from the akai sound library cf card onto this new card ... does it work on this card from amazon?

Have you checked the manual for compatible CF cards? That's a great start.

Don't know if that will work or not... but I've got a 64mb, 2gb, 8gb and 32gb that all work fine for me.

what do i have to do now to get the sounds from my old cf card to the new in the mpc?

Copy the samples on the old CF to your computer. Copy the samples on the computer to your new CF.

Before doing that, format the CF on the MPC.

If I was you I wouldn't get too worked up about the factory samples.

BTW: if you turn on the 500 with no card inserted there are some factory sounds inside that will load. You can also save those to your CF if you want to.

This (!), is not written in the manual for example. It is written that the mpc 500 just supports CF Card Type-II, up to 2GB

So, TFM seems to be wrong with that.

Well this may have been a change for the specs based on a bios update.

My best guess is that they officially only support up to 2gb and if you want to try something larger and it doesn't work then don't go complaining to Akai .

Anyway... good luck with whichever card(s) you decide to buy.
