I'm looking for a better way to filter out sounds, especially vocal samples, because the onboard filter system doesn't cut them out as clean as I want. What are your suggestions (or is there a trick to using the onboard filter system)?

Secondly, I want to use a keyboard to track all sorts of things, bass lines, pianos, etc.. Is there a way to track directly onto the MPC with a midi keyboard and the keyboard's internal sounds?

you cant fully remove sounds from a sample by filtering all it can do is change frequencies if you dont want the sound find another sample or chop around it.

and to your second question Yes you can the more you read the more you learn so take your time to look into things there are a lot of resources out the for learning new tools eg youtube, the manual.
