Saving/Loading troubles. Please help!

Last night i created a sequence that i really liked. It consisted of a drum track on Track 1, an organ on track 2, and a guitar loop on track 3.

I saved my sequence as MIDI Type 0.

When i turned on my MPC again and loaded said sequence, it sounded all f**ked up.

Whats the deal? In order to acheive the same sounds in my sequence, do i need to save it as MIDI Type 1 (so the sounds are also saved) or what?

I loaded the program i used to make the sequence and it still sounded wrong (track 2 and 3 were missing entirely!).

Whats up?

yeah save a type1 so it retains individual tracks assignments.
