See like most of the MV heads, your opinion Is very biased, as that I simply not true.
moyphee wrote:The button are on a flex skeleton and is replaced for around $20. It simply snaps into place.Button breaks are no more common on the MV than the MPC.
Thats true but this skeleton involve every button which I would be cool with, I also
would have no problem with ordering the part for 20 bucks but (and I`m really not overdrawing it) you need to take everything apart every component of the machine needs to be stripped down!
I have done it half cause I really was afraid that I couldn`t put it back together again, so I have stripped it down half and was left with about 50 screws (just to show you the picture)(still couldn't reach the f button though) so I just drip some superglue on, so it get the job doing again for now.
moyphee wrote:Not true , I think they are trying to discourage you from doing it yourself. Both main boards right out nce you remove all of the screws.
I was very eased as the MV was back on and everything worked properly (I really wasn`t sure about that at all that`s why I just stripped it down half)
And to be honest even when I ran out of warranty I wouldn`t open this machine again by myself, I thank god that the MV Is still working.
Don't forget that you also need to strip down the floppy, HD, CD drive etc. Like I said everything
moyphee wrote:i did it for an old 8000 it 45 minutes.
That's good for you really. But you know thats
very subjective, it took me 2hours to strip it down half (I'm not a technician though)
moyphee wrote:I used the control surface since I got it and have had no problems I use it about 5 days a week.
And I really feel good for you but thats not the normal case (see MV Nation) but It seems like most of the users seem to deal with it like: Damn my button is broke! Oh yeah know that you say it mine is broken too but I use the VGA so I don't need it.
But I don`t feel like that at all, It
just feels alienated when shit like that happens to a brandnew 2000$ bbox
moyphee wrote:Most importantly your box is well under warranty just get an RA and get it fixed.
Yep will do when the time is right and the fixed button break completely. But
Like any other I don't like it too much to give my shit away and being left with no bbox for a period of time.
moyphee wrote:i did it for an old 8000
Why, did you have to fix the buttons?
P.S. The rest of the MV is extremely sturdy and well build IMO, maybe that is why It makes me alienated like that.
