Way to fix bent records?

Does anyone know if theres a way to fix records that are like bent? I bought one of my favorite records and i found out that its bent.. Heres a pic..

I tried puting it underneath a big speaker for about a week but that didn't really do anything so ima have to use some heat or something

ok this is how it turned out:

My original plan was to use the glass from a picture frame and the 100w light and press the record on the floor to flatten it out



I ended up just holding the record up to the light and pressing it by hand to get the right shape

heres how the side I showed turned out, It isn't as warped I can tell because it doesn't skip (just makes a low bass sound when the needle goes over it)





Note: if you choose to use a light bulb to heat it DO NOT touch the vinyl to the actual side of the bulb. I screwed up the other side of the record this way because it melted some space (only screwed up the LP version of the song, the extended version is still in tact )

Well, I'm sorry to have to tell you that you wont fix it. If luck is on your side you will get this dent out of the vinyl with kind of a "heat and weight" method. BUT do you know what happen to the grooves when they are confrontated with heat and weight? This is VINYL. It gets flexible and melts under the influence of heat (from an oven or hairdryer or something like tthat). The grooves get ruined.
Also. The whole record have a tension inside the material. If you heat the material and let it cool down this tension might create other dents.

If I get a record with bents in it I try if it is listenable with this method:



In some cases it work and I can record the vinyl to DAW without skipping. Thats it. The vinyl went in the shelf forever.

I have to agree with Peterpiper, there's absolutely no way to fix bent vinyl. It was heat that damaged it in the first place, so I don't think applying more heat will fix it

I have a few records with hills and bumps on them, the best method for me was using a battle dj stylus like the Tony Touch or Q-Bert editions and record that to cd. Those types are made to stay on the groove and will not skip even on the bumpiest vinyl. But not recommended for long term listening because they're kind of heavy on the vinyl.

last time I needed to straighten out a bent record I took 2 thin pieces of wood (larger than the record of course) and screwed them together and left them in the car on a hot summer day for a few hours. Worked like a charm.

Bent, hills, bumps, dents?!?!?!?!?!?! And you guys call yourselves crate diggers? When a record is like that, it is WARPED!!!

i have put up many times how to fix them, but better yet
my friend has a dewarper takes 4 hours to dewarp them just as any other method it's not 100% guaranteed.(depends on how badly warped)
i did my own dewarping till now, but weight and pressing, NO NEVER GONNA WORK.
it was warped by HEAT you need to HEAT IT UP TO DEWARP IT.i have a few ways listed and tested by ME not some word say I HEARD ,people say many things an they just havent done it.(trust me i've searched ,my ways worked. )
anyways Needle to the Groove record shop, he has a dewarper. can fix it better then any method.

if you try to fix it by bending your going to stretch the groove,. not good sound.not a good idea
