read the manual... and push the open window button on everything because often there is a hidden window with many useful parameters to adjust... that being one of the things you will find if you look properly.

you will appreciate me not giving you the answer straight out one day when you are an mpc2000xl master.

cosign but also...
it's only hidden if you didn't read the manual or didn't take my other advice... it actually makes perfect sense that it's located where it is...

agreed. Now have a little read of that user manual and it will save you a lot of time and pain later as you will understand what you are doing

in the program parameters screen you will see in the bottom right corner a section where you can select MONO, POLY, NOTE highlight this with your cursor and hit the window button it will open a new screen where your wishes await. now as said before go and hit your window button on everything and have a look around.

I'm afraid not. Well, half of his wishes

Ok. To make things a bit clearer for the OP: on the 2000 (xl) you CANT mute EACH pad with EACHOTHER pad.
You can choose 2 pads per pad. So for example pad 3 wil mute pad 1 and pad 2.
peace

peterpiper, Frags, mr_debauch hit on some STRONG points and if you don't take that to
heart and follow along, well, u remain in the hurt locker.

1 fish = 1 answer

reading manual = teaching to fish

I wish some Genius programmer like JOJO could update the XL's O.S to 1.22 or something, and make these Mute groups an extra option. So many people wish to have this. Is anybody ever going to make such an update?

just use pads in the d bank that you aren't using for any samples... then use them to mute other things with no sounds on those pads. not sure if that is what people call ghost notes or not... but the trick works. not nearly as well as mute groups that every single other product has but it helps.
