Just out of the box

Hey,
I just took receipt of a new AKAI MPC 500, It's got 3 songs preloaded that I've messed about with a little - but was looking into how to upload more samples from the enclosed CD to my Mac and then onto the MPC, I've really got no clue how to do this just yet but I'm keen to get stuck in as I've got a deadline for some demo stuff I need to get done - it's a fairly eclectic mix of sounds but I decided to invest in the AKAI for the sound and portability.

ANy advice on how to get started will be devoured so give me a hand.

No seriously, nothing in the handbook - CD's been covered in pen markings so I'm not sure if it's kosher, tried looking at the ebook and got no joy - if it's a case of buying a new memory card that's sound but i genuinely need a bit of guidance.
