thanks.
yup modular synth. not a bookcase but a case made for modular synth.
http://synthesizers.com/cabinets.html#qcs44i actually have the smaller cabinet to go on top of it but don't have enough modules to fill it...yet! i sold a tons of synths off and bought a system from a guy here in boston. totally worth it. i'm just starting to use it more now that i've arranged and organized my studio. i usually set some standard synth sounds on it and then when i want to do something weird, the synth is ready. perfect.
and yup, oberheim SEM under the micron. also awesome little synth. i've been into synths for quite a while and feel lucky to have some amazing ones now. i just need a huge polyphonic synth with like a million controls on it. i'll get there. i have another pile of monosynths in the other room i might try to sell to buy a jupiter or andromeda or memorymoog or something...
wudsiba wrote:I love your studio payote! Is that a modular synth in a bookcase? Damn good idea. I found synthesizer.com a while ago and would love to get into that, but I don't really have the scratch to do it. Did you design your own setup or did you get one of the setups they already had? How is it? Sorry for all the questions... Just drooling here. One more. What's under the Micron? Bad ass.
