Hello, the mpc 1000 is back off the shelve and i'm determined this time to master my patch phrase problem. I see that some people simply dont use the feature. I would basicly like to sample a piano sample and then use it at different pitches but still at the same tempo. After i go through the patch phrase routine, the loop sample either sound fine but changes tempo when applied to 16 levels, or sound like there's gaps all the way through it. Any help much appreciated. Lee.

the gaps are how the patch phrase sounds.. it simply takes a loop and breaks it into parts allowing you to adjust the tempo but if u slow it down alot u get the gaps but i can sound really good on certian stuff

can't you do that with PITCH SHIFT, rather than patched phrase?

well yeah

but I don't get exactly what the OP is asking, if he just wants to adjust the pitch of a sample to play it across the pads then a patched phrase might not be what he wants
