MPC 2500 Discontinued?

www.musiciansfriend.com states that MPC 2500 is discontinued. However, retailers in Japan are advertising the MPC 2500 SE......

word from akai is they needed parts to make the 5000

So I am mad late reporting that certain websites state that the MPC 2500 is discontinued. Yet, the MPC 2500 SE is advertised at several retailers here in Japan.

Just got home from shopping....the Akai MPC 2500 is in stock at my local dealer. No display models..just a few in factory sealed boxes.

So what? Just because an item is discontinued doesnt mean it cannot be in stock?

Reports were that it was discontinued months ago....yet the 2500SE just started shipping in late Jan here in Japan.

Just FYI.....nothing more.

i haven't seen the SE around here
i was at GC last night and they only had the 5000
it's was all beat up damn

yeah, any word on the US release? I want one, cause it looks bad booty and I want to have a backup to my 2kxl.

maybe you can order one from japan... they run the same voltage as us.
