Can I Load 2000XL Beats into the 1000 and vice versa????

anyone got any info? me and my boy are tryin to figure out how we can collab if i switch to the XL and he stays with the 1000...

The program (.pgm) files are mostly compatible (i think decay / attack values are lost and perhaps filter settings.. cant be too sure), sequence files (.seq) are compatible and obviously wav's are...

so keep everything as wav on the 2000xl and dont do any filtering, decaying or attacking on the 1000 and you should be cool....

i may be wrong with the compatability of the pgm files.. but hope this helps anyway..

The MPC2000[XL] will not read PGM, APS, ALL files from the MPC1000. Only WAV.
