need a SCSI cable... my internal Zip is a 250 and its just eats up my ZIPs and makes then unreadable, i have a external 100 zip... i wanna put to use...

i know Xl uses 25 pin to 50 pin half pitch connector... looked around the net for one... i saw a few that might work but they were labeled differently... and i dont want to base it on "it looks about right"

some vets on here can point me the right direction???

looked on ebay but dudes on there double the price on anything that has "MPC" in the heading.

was looking at this... http://cwc-group.com/md50mdb25m.html

That will work as long as your Zip drive has a 25 pin connection.

You will need the DB 25-Pin to High Density DB 50-Pin (Clip Type) in the below image.

No it doesn't. I have a scsi device with "Narrow SCSI High Density 50 Connector"
and the xl has the exact same "Narrow SCSI High Density 50 Connector".
My cable is the same on both ends. You don't need a connector
or adapter unless your scsi device has something other than a "Narrow SCSI High Density 50 Connector"

I actually threw away about 10 of these exact 50-50 Nar SCSI HD cables last week
(I had been holding on to them for years wondering if anyone would need them).

Jeezus Lamp, what were you thinking?
Give it another ten years and they'll be like gold dust.

I was looking around today, I think I may have like 3 more.

Another 10, cool, but only cause you said so.

so essentially, cause I'm finding myself in the same boat with my boy's zip drive he lent me (which works fine on a 2G "classic", cause the SCSI cable fits)...all I have to do is get a converter for the "end" to connect to my 2000XL (the part connecting to the XL)? I can't run over to Radio SHack or Best Buy or somethin'?

Did you try that, I mean the running?

well shit...I just did more research and realized that it is the only way to go ("hd" when referring to "scsi-2" or narrow d50 pin male latch connectors).
