error Drive can not be formated?

i just bought a used mpc 1000 updated with 128 ram and jjos 4.99. yesterday i found a bent pin in the memory card slot that was causing a blank green screen when i put the cf card in. i carefully bent the pin back into place with a screw driver and inserted the cf card into the mpc. i could then operate the mpc and went to the usb menu tab in the load section. i can connect to the computer through usb and it shows up, but everytime i click the drive, it says it must be formated. i format the drive, which takes about 20 minutes, and at the very end it says the disk can not be formated and wont let me load anything on the cf card.

i also have a card reader which i loaded the cf card into and formated through that. it took less than a minute and worked. i loaded sounds on the car and put it in the mpc and nothing shows up.

can you help. i wanna makes some music.

damn, how do i fix it? can it be replaced?

nevermind, just ordered the replacement part... again, damn.
