depends what kind of sound card you have... you might be able to go 1/8" to 1/8" from the headphone jack on the MPC to the line in on the sound card.
If it's 'pro' hardware, you can get a 1/4" Tip/Sleeve on both ends to go from the output of the MPC to the input of the sound card.
The MPC doesn't support balanced outputs, so a 1/4" to XLR would work, you'd need to have an XLR input on your sound card.

The only time I have ever had a problem with an XLR in home theater was with one that was defective. It was also a very short cable in the rack. I would source it from a music store. My experience with Live Wire has been good, but most should be fine for this low impact service.
