MPC 2k classic Volume Knob Help (SOunds only on the left)

SO i just noticed today that my mpc only outputs sound thru the left speaker< so i opened it and i noticed holding and tilting the volume and record knob makes both the left and right work, is this normal? how would i fix it?

I have a MPC-2000 classic with only right channel working. left channel is silent and the volume knob does not bleed (i.e. right channel does not make static noise when moving knob) Does any one know how to fix it?

can anyone help give me instructions? im a uber noob at fixing stuff like this

Buy a new pot, unsolder the old one out of the pcb board and replace with the new one.

If you aren't good at soldering then send the machine to an electronics repair shop.

Try some contact cleaner spray first
