Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

i've bought an MPC2000 via Ebay and today i've received it.
i've opened the machine that seems ok except for some keys that are broken but working (play stop and record overdub) and 1 key doesn't work at all (the pad banks select key, this is very annoying).
i've tried to sample something in the mp and all seems ok, the pads are ok too.
so i've decided to send the machine at the "master service" - http://www.masterservice.tk/index.php (this is the url in case anyone needs it) - near Ancona, Italy
last year i've sended my sp1200 for a repair and they do a good (and not expensive) job in just one week, so i hope that everything will be ok with the MP also
...now i'm waiting for a response from master service
in next days they will send the courier here at home and i'll pay the repair at the delivery of machine
so i'm satisfied enough...

today i've got the mpc2000 back from the tech's lab
the broken keys have been replaced and now everything works fine, except for some crashes that occurred in the OS (v1.72) sometimes when i get busy with editing and menu pages, but i've read here that it is almost normal with this machine.
i haven't tried to remove the ram expansion to see if it depends on that
seems that the technician forget to re-insert the pads connection from his socket after he reassembled the mpc
so i get a little frustrated before opening the machine and see the problem that i've been able to fix thanks to the directions i readed some days ago in the forum (thanks a lot!)
so now i got to find a zip drive to save my samples and sequences
the floppy drive works fine anyway
thanks again folks!

only prob on my 2000 classic is the missing rear power button

like everytime i put my finger in the hole to power on i'm afraid of getting a shock

I love this damn machine though with it's 2mb of ram

be careful with high voltage devices
i got the 32mb expansion but for now i'm only using a little bit of the memory
must cop a zip drive
i use floppy also with the sp1200, so for now is ok
a lot of floppys are starting to take big space in my little home studio
