price for used 4000

I'm wondering what a good price for a used mpc 4000 plus would be? Any opinions? I have a guy asking $1500. With all the new technology and software out today is this a good buy?

the lowest stock mpc 4000 i saw went for $850

if it has one of the upgrades i.e 8 outs or adat like 1k

1500 is too much, even if it had every possible option installed

my stock white 4000 sold on ebay for 1050

I was offered 1700.00 cash for mine and I turned it down. Then again, mine is from the last batch made in 2007. It still looks and works like brand new.

I JUST BOUGHT A WHITE MPC 4000 FOR 400 CASH! THE OWNER NEVER GOT TO USE IT. LOOKS BRAND NEW.. NOT A SCRATCH. BUT WHEN HE LOADED THE SOUND BANK ON THE CD. HE SAID HE DID SOME WRONG COMMAND AND CRASHED THE SYSTEM. WHEN I BOUGHT IT , IT WAS FROZEN WITH JUST A PICTURE THE METRONOME THING ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE. I TRIED LOADING 1.71 ON THE OS AND IT JUST FREEZES AFTER THE MPC4000 LOADING PAGE. ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO FIX/ WITCH OS TO LOAD???

It looks clean but 1700 is too much

I can get one for 1600 with a brand new screen with max ram and 500 gb HD

Honestly rokuez, I won't sell her for any amount. They don't make them like this anymore. This appears to be the last of her kind. I don't need money so she is stayin with me for good.

seen one just like it on ebay, only the other one was blacked out, pads and buttons, had 8output expansion, also adat or spdif, cant remember. mix 400 stand and sold for 1400. it looked so crisp my wife was ready put down half the bid so I can get it.

Just saw it. Screen is scratched. And...there's no mention of any add-ons except the RAM. Show me the posting you're talking about...

Hey, it sold for 2500.00 US! Imagine that...I guess whoever bought it was drunk or stoned right?

If Guitar Center has them used for around $1000, then you should be looking for a little less than that considering a GC one will have a 30 day money back guarantee.

As for the freezing, when I got mine, it kept crashing when I would save files (freeze up and stuff). Switched out the hard drive, havent had a problem since then. If you still have the crappy little desk star HD in there, try putting a new one in and reload the 1.71 OS. Might do the trick.
