Playing the keys on the triton and recording on the MPC sequencer...just do this...

On the Triton:(I'm using an LE but I believe the settings are the same in all of the models)

Press the GLOBAL button on the triton, then press the MENU button. Under the GLOBAL menu select the MIDI menu. Then open it scroll down to LOCAL CONTROL and then UNCHECK it..once you do that then press the EXIT button then the COMBI button (or PROG button) (you should now be at the main screen at bank A000: BALLAD LAYET EP or bank A000: BIG SWEEP STAB

ON the MPC: From the MAIN SCREEN scroll down to DRUM1:OFF NewPgm-A and change it to MIDI : 1A-Device01 Now Press record and Play away, you should hear what you recorded...(assuming that you have both the MPC and the Ttiton running through a mixer, because you will only hear the MIDI sounds of the Triton from the Triton)

Let me know if it works!

I have all my midi cables connected right...Maybe it's the monitoring, how do you have ur mixer, connected.. I have a 1/4 inch cable coming from the triton audio out to my roland vs mixers input 1.. i can hear the keyboard when the local control is checked , but when i uncheck it , can't hear nothing even when i put the triton in combi or program mode.. holla back.. down sk

If you can hear the trion throughthe mixer everything should be good... as far as not hearing the triton when you turn off the Local control... I'm not too sure are y ou using the LE? I know that I definatly can't hear the sounds in the SWQ mode with the local control off but other than that everything is all good... I'm not to sure where to go from there... I would check the other forums that I listed... maybe you will get some feedback
