It will work, it's non-hot-swappable.
BUT, PCI slot for a desktop?!?!
Specs are correct, bracket is wrong, it wont fit mpcs.

People like hot swap but it's not necessary.
This pic is pci slot cf device, wont fit into mpc though.
IDE - no hot swap.
ATAPI - yes, hot swap.

What LampDog is saying is........it's compatible.The only problem you'll run into is the mount.That long silver piece on the front won't fit into the mpc so you'll have to remove it and replace it with something like this........
Just the beige part.(bracket\mount)

I have an MPC 2000XL. I bought that FLASH MEMORY READER does not work http://www.addonics.com/products/flash_memory_reader/adidesd.asp .
but when I turn the Akai, the display lights up but do not read anything. I checked the connections but everything seems perfect!
The flat cable is 40 pin.
The power cable (two wires, one black and one red) I've recovered from the floppy drive that I removed.
What could be the problem?
Pls help me
