ok, last one went un answered, hopefully i can get some suggestions this time...
mpc 1000 blue and red one
windows xp
4 gb scan disk cf
2 gb scandisk cf
I purchased a used mpc 1000 and found out shortly after that it had bent pins in the card reader. so i purchased a new card reader for 120 dollars. when the card reader showed up, i installed it, and put my memory card in. i then connected the usb cable and the mpc showed up as Drive I in my temporary drives section of my computer. i then double clicked the folder and a message came up saying "Drive I must be formatted". I click ok and nothing happens. the progress bar goes no where. I then decided maybe the cf card was too big (4gb) so i went out and bought a 2 gb cf card. now i have put that in and when i click on Drive I it says "Please insert a disk into drive I"
there is already a disk in drive I, the 2gb compact flash card.
please help me trouble shoot this. i have run out of ideas of what could be the problem. ive tried different usb ports, different cables, just about everything!
im lost, any advice would be awesome!
thanks.
