how do you proceed once you got your song made with mpc-500? do you transfer individual tracks to protools or such, or do you keep it raw and do the mixing with mpc and then transfer a stereo .wav file? and do you mix & master yourself or let someone else do it?

i have no idea what the breakdown is of 500 users who either track their stuff into a DAW or who do it all exclusively on the 500 alone. personally, I get a song to about 70 percent finished and then track it into Logic where I use plugins to refine or change the sound entirely. Some people might only get the basics of a song down before using their DAW.

i finish my track on the 500, then record some bars of every track then copy and paste. saves a lot more space than recording the whole track. i dont even fux with that "covert sequence to song sh1t" on the mpc. the way i do it is a lot more flexible and you can change it anytime once it gets on the computer, plus you can mix/eq the tracks individually.
