So, since the pads are compatible, can you just use the pcb from the mpd16/18 to avoid paying the $179 upgrade fee? I could see using the PCB then buying just a pad change. Total cost: ~$70 or so

I saw this before, but the guy disappeared. Speaking of which, Nym was interested in this from what I can tell, but he's gone too. What's going on around here?

I was thinking about that. The pads aren't the same size, but couldn't you just take the sensor strips and move them to the mpc? Then you could get a pad kit from mpc stuff or whatever for $25.

I think that's not possible, cause the sensor strips for the MPD have another size then the se.str. of the pad upgrade from the mpc.
