MPC1000 trim mode lagging

sometimes when im tryin to chop up a sample.ill be moving the data wheel changing the start/end point and it kinda starts laggin sometimes.ill move the wheel and the end point will be jumpin back and forth sometimes.like the cpu cant keep up.usually this happens on samples that are 15 sec or longer.i tried changing the data wheel setting but it doesnt help

are you sure its not the highlighted values u have selected?

the less numbers highlight = the greateer jump when trimming

idk what u mean

see your highlighted your numerals.....hold down shift and move your left and right arrows.....to highlight all the numerals or just the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc, etc...

doing this you can control you macro vs. micro editting of samples

ya but isnt that just a shortcut to zoom in/out?my problem is the data wheel doesnt respond sometimes when trimming a big sample like 15 secs.it will just lag while trying to change the end/start like the cpu is slow

zoom in and out is completely different and you can actually zoom in and out via the appropriate "F button"

No. 03 is what im referring to in adjusting start point

No. 05 repeats same info for editting end point

i could be off, but its the first thing that came to mind when you mentioned your editting was "jumping" in large increments

i tried the shift + right cursor and all it does is zoom in.i have jjos 3.08

Yes, this is only applicable to the Akai OS. The JJOS improves the trim screen, and changes the left/right buttons to zoom.

Not too sure what you mean by your initial problem, but as you said it only happens on samples 15 seconds or longer.. That is probably playing into it.

No troubles while flipping through values in Program mode?

This is applicable if you are using large amounts of memory. What king of RAM do you have installed?

i know exactly what u mean....it seems to do it mostly on the mid level zoom...zooming n all the way or closer prevents it from happening..zooming out all the way it doesnt happen either but in the middle i find i have the same problem.

ya i use samsung ram someone recommended over here i think its like 8.50 on ebay.and it does get better when u zoom in.u think its the RAM or CPU or JJOS?
