I have issues with bass. No matter what i sample or recieve as bass samples i just haven't a single clue how to use bass! i want to be able to have thuddy bass and bass notes i can manipulate. i'm absolutely clueless, and ashamed i have to post this thread.

any tips? thanks!

Take a single-cycle sine wave tuned to C and 16 levels that shit!
**** around till something sounds good. Filter and eq to taste.

if u got the jjos, i recommend taking some sample programs and turning the lo-pass filter on all pads. Next, set the cutoff and resonance to 50, go to the "slider" screen and turn the qlinks to realtime, set one to cutoff1 and one to resonance.

now you can sweep the cutoff freq to find the best bass sounds. try it on a bunch of different samples/programs.
