OK, I sold the MPC2000XL-MCD and of course I saved all my latest work on a SD Card. I wanna know why my card is not being recognized. The drive appears on the screen but it doesn't show the amount of memory in the memory box on the screen?

So, I copied all the materal from the card onto a CD-R and I was able to load up the "All" files but not the "APS" files.

OK so here are my questions:

1. Do I need to format a storage media on the 4000 before the 4000 will recognize the usb device as with the old MPCs?

2. I thought that the 4000 could load 2000XL files? Why won't it load my "APS" files?

(Why do I have the feeling that someone is gonna tell me I should have saved the material as "programs" instead of "all program and Sounds"

3. Can the MPC4000 use USB Jump/Thumb Drives as storage and if so up to how many gigs?

PLEASE HELP!!!

you dont need to format it...just copy file on pc to usb drive and then plug into front of mpc...

...it sees over 100 gbs....dont know the exact limit off the top of me head

usb port at back is for pc connection, front is for external usb device

doesnt load mpc2000xl files as far as im aware..loads s5000/s6000/z4/z8 programs, keygroups

Should load APS files, but havent tried that yet

Thanks.
MIDI, SND and some PGM is all I ever could get to load.
Mike had a little App that allowed me to at least be able to extract them from the APS, but never could do anything with trying to load the APS file.
Eventually decided bringing the old stuff forward wasn't neccessary.
