triggered sounds cancelling each other out PLEASE HELP !!!!!

Hello fellow MPC users.
I am a noob to the MPC and I am having a few issues. I created a new sample and created a new program for it. i added my drums and stuff and everythings all good up to this point. when i tried to make a new sequence, i record the first track just fine, then when i try track 2, every time i trigger the sample on track 2, it cuts off track 1. this only does it with the new program i created. all my other ones work fine. what is going on? i didnt see aything in the manual about it and searched the internet and still nothing. any words of advice is greatly appreciated.
