just got my mpc 1000 it is sweet
except for all the lame preset sounds
but whatever...


are the pads supposed to be so stiff?


i mean like they feel rock hard

They bed in over time, soften up a bit. But yeah, you need strong fingers now. Adjust the sensitivity (Mode: Other).

Their stiffness really surprised me too when I first got my MPC. It does a great job of quickly triggering samples. If they squished in, it'd really slow you down.
