well i discovered that the xl reads the 60 formatted flash card but only sees the first 2 partitions (60 partitions the card A-Z).
so i believe i can just leave the first partition A on the 60 as a empty temporary folder to re-save a 60 beat i want to transfer into, then i can load it into the 2kxl, and also re-save it onto the xl flash card and back it up onto the computer.
