I made some layered kicks on the mpc1000 saved them into wav and trimmed and eq'd in cool edit. Now when I load them on the mpc they sound like blips or static. I saved in wav pcm format and when I connect the mpc usb to check them they sound fine. Anyone know?

In Cool Edit, when you save WAV files, make sure the "Save extra non-audio information" checkbox in the Save dialog is unchecked. I've found that this adds some extra stuff to the WAV file that some applications don't like.

Bring the 'broken' WAVs up in Cool Edit, and re-save them make sure that checkbox's unchecked. Something to try...

That's the right thing to do, except: that "non-audio" infomation can include loop points. If your sample has them, make a note before you save with that box unchecked.

If you redo the loop in Cool Edit, use "Continuous" loop type, not "One Shot". Or redo the loop on the MPC...
