Why not keep the 2k and use it as midi master to the 1000? or store huge sound library onboard 1000 harddrive and sample into the 2k as needed through the analog inputs?

1.Because the screen was shot aka I couldn't see shit, not just a few lines and I didn't feel like dropping $300+ on a new lcd. 2. It's chilling in somebody else's house cause they bought it.
