Tip: Making the perfect autoload (EQ per part!)

Because the FX lacks quality I hardly use them. So I have 4 empty FX slots. What I do is insert 3 EQ's in the first three slots (A,B,C). EQ A cuts the low frequenty, EQ B cuts the mid, while EQ C cuts the high frequenty.
-> If you want more bass, insert FX C and pump up the volume.
-> Etc, etc...
Slot D is still empty for a compressor or delay or whatever.
I have saved this song as an autoload.

why would you use a only one band of a 3 band eq?

A 3 band eq per send is necessary because you dont want all the sounds to have the same eq setting. Only one setting per eq fx. So 3 eq's make it possible to use 3 different settings for all sounds in stead of only 1 setting for all sounds.

The lack of eq is for me the major shortcomming of the mpc4k too IKKE

Maybe they do this for not competing against there DPS series.. But then again.. why didnt they add more outs?? Only 10, .. instead of 20 like on previous Akai samplers

Akai is a big question mark to me. Luckely I like the workflow and the sound from the 4k

You can get very far with eqing by using the filters in the modulation matrix
