It's no contest, once you learn how to use whatever program you choose (pro tools, sonar 3, etc.) it opens so many options and possiblities that it's crazy. I started out with a roland vs-880 ex, I loved it but man it's like asking a race car driver to switch to a 4 cyclinder compact car. You can't go wrong with the computer.

I use a computer but I can feel cats that don't use them. comps cause a lot of problems and sometimes I feel like I spend more time debugging than recording.

I see... so there is no differences in sound in your opinion? between the same Digi 002 or M-Box with Protools...? and HDR systems?

p.s. Dstruction... can you give me your e-mail? or Mail me at [email protected] (ABOUT TRACK and Possible Tours to Russia)

I track to Cubase SX via PC. I like the mixing flexibility that Cubase allows. But all my beats are all made & sequenced on the MPC first.

I can easily record 24 bit audio on my computer...uncompressed....don't the Roland recorders use some kind of compression of audio on the VS series?
