I went to the search and I know there have been similar questions, but not quite specific enough, anyways, I need to sync my 2000XL, along with my sound modules to the Mbox, and being as the MBox has only one pair of stereo inputs I will record one track at a time. Everything is controlled and sequenced on the MPC, so what do I need to do in order to make sure all the audio data recorded into ProTools is in Sync and starts at the same time??? I've heard someone mention needing a Midiman 2X2 in order to get Midi data into the computer, Can I use my Midiman midi contoller for that?? I will appreciate any input!!!

you either need a midi interface like the one you mentioned or you can just line up everything manually once its recorded.

I am in a very similar boat. I have the 2kXl and an MBox with the Midiman 2x2. I have an issue with the sync. I can control the MPC from PT with the sync, but no sound records? I can't seem to understand why and I have been fussing with it for weeks. I hit record in PT and the MP plays with sound and all, I have levels showing in my PT that show sound is being played, but NONE is being recorded?! If anyone has any detailed information on this and can help me with this situation and Skiggy at the same time, that would be great. BTW--to describde in even more detail, when I record(not really) the track in PT, the track in PT jumps hundreds of bars out, acting like it recorded sound (when of course none recorded)...if that helps to describe the problem, I would love any feedback as I am sure Skiggy would like it too. Thanks and Peace!!
