As above, for $350. I was told it's "loaded" but the guy selling it can't tell me what that means (wasn't his to begin with). I hunted through the JJ/pad upgrade threads but had trouble finding the answers I need.

me: "Does it have JJ OS?"

him: "huh, whats that?" "it's loaded"

me: "So's my deeyock. Tard"

Q #1. When you boot it up does it say JJ OS right away? I know you can switch back and forth betwwen Akai's and JJ. But since I've never actually seen it, I don't know what it looks like. I want to check it before I buy but I need to know what I should be looking for.

Q#2. The MPC is Black, and the info I could find was that the Black MPC's have a higher chance of having the upgraded pads. Do all of them have it or a specific lot #? I read serial # BX_________ are the ones with the upgrade. Somebody please confirm?

Q#3. IF I end up needing the upgrade for the unit, is the $350 + extra cost worth it? Or should I just get a brand spankin new one?

Thanks in advance

Yeah it should be a good buy, have him turn it on for you make sure all buttons and pads work, it'll also tell you what os it has. Wiggle one of the pads, if another moves it means you have the new pads

good lookin out.

The new pads are one piece the old are singular, and the JJ OS is indicated when you turn the unit on.

Wicked thanks.
