^^^
the pic is a bit deceptive. Its not sooooo far away (90 cm from turntable platter to the MPC number block buttons. Easy for someone with a wingspan like me (185cm) :) ) but I seldom sample directly from the vinyl. I record everything on PC first to be able to eq it more precisely and put a rumble filter on it and sometimes some other things like a bit of the SIR reverb etc.

Fck, I forgot about the FZ-1 . I've had 2 FZ-10M's and they're the closest thing to a SP I've ever come across sound wise . The interface is just a b!tch . What's that sandwiched between the 900 & 950 ?

It's a yamaha tx16w. That's probably the nicest setup I've seen posted in awhile. Looks like a really comfortable setup.

1OOO holds the sound library on 120 gb hd

2000 samples/ sequences vinyl samples & drums

2000 xl has mpk 49 hooked to it to play/sequence via the auto chromatic feature not on the 2000 or 1000(without jjos)
2kxl also is recording vocals now via a condenser mic hooked to it thru a presonus tube pre

Thanks to MIDI you only need ONE tentacle to trigger all machines in sync

it just appears that way it is actually very secure top tier of the three tier stand was kinda weird when positioning had to put at an angle, can bang away on the pads if needed though

so you won't be buying any Radio Ready BG BEATS from http://www.BGBEATS.COM then huh :)

money I make from music gets spent on the gear and somehow I still end up spending more but....

well, see many many producers and/or beat makers tend to place prices on beats way too high for the current industry like hundreds/thousands of dollars.. lucky if they sell 1 in 5 years

but on the flipside you have the internet and mp3's worldwide access and paypal taking credit cards = 24/7 money making opp.

unsigned rappers and singers (even if just for hobby) give away or sell SONGS for 99 cents a download..,,,

but as a beatmaker... YOU can sell mp3 beats for 10 to 25 dollars each per download. non exclusive .. meaning can sell same beat over & over to different people, they are pretty much paying you 99 cents for the mp3 but you really are selling "permission for them to use your beat in a song with vocals added that they can re-sell or use for promotion...

10 bucks for an mp3 or 25 bucks per mp3 adds up, while the guys waiting for the 1 exclusive big money payout stays broke while waiting.

all a beatmaker has to do is be willing to make the beats that will appeal to the people that are buying mp3 beats ..(the easy part, the fun part) BUT then you gotta be willing to promote Your Biz & Brand like a madman online as it is an online based biz.
